Hunger Games
The Hunger Games by Suzzane Collins is about the main character Katniss Everdeen sacraficing her own life for her sisters life. She volunteers herself to go into an arena with 23 other tributes to fight to the death and be the last one standing and to be able to keep her life. Peeta Mellark is the other tribute. Katniss and Peeta are taken to the Capitol with their alcoholic mentor Haymitch Abernathy who is the only living winner of the Hunger Games from the same district as them. When they reach the capitol, they meet their stylist. Cinna is Katniss's stylist and the stylist job is to make the tributes look their best. Cinna designs a flaming out fit which gets the crowds attention during the opening ceremony which shows off the tributes. They try to get sponsors who can pay money to buy them things during the Hunger Games and help them win. When Katniss enters the Hunger Games, she finds out that Peeta was helping her the entire time. He save her life and fought off his own teammates for her and ended up with a giant wound on his leg from being cut with a knife. As time goes by and tribute pass away, the Hunger Games gets a twist. They make a rule change where two tributes can win if they are from the same district. At this point Katniss is ruining around looking for Peeta. She finds him camouflaged on rocks. As they ally, more tributes die off as the Hunger Games start to come to an end. Katniss and Peeta win, the game-makers reverse the rule change and force them to fight to the death. However Katniss splits poison berries with her and Peeta so that there will be no winner. Before they can do this the game-makers add the rule again rather to have two winners than none. When they get taken back to the Capitol, Katniss becomes a political target for pulling that "stunt" with the berries. Katniss and Peeta leave the Capitol soon after they win and go back home and meet their happy families that are happy to see them again.
